Content Room and Toyota: Driving Connection Through Storytelling

AMC Global Media’s in-house branded entertainment studio, Content Room, is
expanding its partnership with Toyota through a new creator-driven project. Part
of the auto brand’s 2026-2027 campaign, this collaboration complements Content
Room’s unique, audience-first approach: working in lockstep with brands to
create meaningful connections with the audiences most receptive to their
message.

Just as importantly, we bring relationships with creators across the industry,
including filmmakers and actors. Through this approach, we’re able to pair
brands with authentic voices to create campaigns that feel credible and rooted in
real creative journeys.

For this specific project, Toyota’s goal was to target an audience that values
creativity and intentional living. This aligned naturally with Sundance Now’s
evolution as the premier streaming destination for independent film, a targeted
streamer focused on viewers deeply invested in authentic storytelling and
originality. This made it the ideal platform to help Toyota reach their desired
consumers with organic content.

Leveraging Content Room’s longstanding ability to successfully pair a brand's
campaign objectives with the right talent, we connected Toyota with indie
filmmaker Kit Goldsmith.

The result is A Filmmaker’s Drive, a custom short film following Goldsmith as she
develops her debut feature. Goldsmith’s journey in the film reflects the
perseverance needed to bring a creative story to life. The Toyota bZ Woodland
appears throughout the film as integral to Goldsmith’s filmmaking journey. This
integration was designed to reflect how a vehicle naturally fits into a creator’s
workflow, directly connecting to Goldsmith’s real creative process.
This summer, audiences can enjoy the film across our Sundance Now and AMC+
platforms, along with a curated selection of Goldsmith’s favorite indie films (all
presented by Toyota).

By centering this campaign on genuine storytelling and creator alignment,
Content Room showcased the value of branded entertainment that reflects real
experiences. Our collaboration with Toyota underscores how brands can connect
with target audiences through intentionality to foster engagement and trust.
